So far clocking has been the solution to my concern.Īs far as I know, 110 dollars MSRP is the CHEAPEST wordclock solution I can think of.
As far as improvement goes, clocking the ADA8000 to the Behringer probably did make some kind of subjective improvement, but its a mute point for me, I was more concerned with getting a mixdown to 2 track without pops or clicks. SO I could either try to keep splitting the wordclock cable output from the first MOTU 2408 to control 2 - ADA8000s and 1 additional 2408 or I get a 110 dollar piece from HOSA that even with a semi decent clock is going to (hopefully) eliminate any sync issues. It is ideal for use as a composite video or word clock cable and may also be used as an SDI or HD-SDI cable. However, since my PCI 324 card has more spots on it for more 2408s or 24io or whatever I want to add on to it, there's going to be the question of clocking say at least 4 "converters" together to use all 32 channels.
If I want to get 8 more channels, I could split the word clock with a BNC T connector if I were to get another ADA8000 for a cheap upgrade which is in the works as we speak.
